Laurie Meads answers some questions about her journey as a School Leaver Trainee

What made you start a career in accountancy?

It uses all the skills that I’ve developed throughout my GCSEs and A-Levels, and I liked the idea of working closely with various clients.

What’s something you didn’t expect?

I’m in the Business team, and one of the main skills that I use every day are my IT skills – it’s not all about maths!

What are your career goals?

To continue through my Association of Accounting Technicians qualification and then possibly move on to a Chartered Accountant qualification.
