Description

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Business South team, supporting a varied client base and contributing to the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.
Responsibilities
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assisting with bookkeeping, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with digital record keeping requirements.
• Helping with management accounts and other financial reporting tasks.
• Communicating with clients to gather information, answer queries and build strong working relationships.
• Ensuring working papers and files meet our internal quality standards.
• Using a range of accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CCH.
• Contributing to the smooth running of the office and supporting colleagues during busy periods.
Experience & Skills
• AAT Level 4 qualified
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Confident using cloud based accounting software and Excel.
• A good communicator who enjoys working with people and building relationships.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage your workload effectively.
• Experience in an accountancy practice is helpful but not essential - what matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.
